Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has warned that Russian forces could launch a major missile strike against Ukraine within two days, citing intelligence data. The alert comes amid ongoing aerial attacks targeting multiple regions.
Ukraine's Air Force reported that air defenses intercepted 81 attack drones and destroyed one of three ballistic missiles aimed at the Kyiv region. Air Force communications chief Yuriy Ihnat confirmed that Russian forces also deployed supersonic Onyx missiles against targets in southern Ukraine.
The strikes caused notable damage and casualties. An airstrike in Zaporizhzhia injured 30 people, including seven children, according to emergency services. Meanwhile, a Russian drone struck near an apartment building in Kharkiv's Saltivka district, shattering windows and injuring one civilian. Emergency teams continue repair work across affected areas.
