Ukrainian and American officials have held discussions regarding a potential air ceasefire proposal to present to Moscow, according to reports citing a Ukrainian source. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is scheduled to meet with US President Donald Trump in Washington on Tuesday to discuss diplomatic options.
Responding to the reports, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated on Sunday that Moscow considers public commentary on potential ceasefire terms to be premature. Peskov noted that Russia remains uncertain regarding the reliability of the reported proposals. The initiative under discussion reportedly focuses on halting mutual aerial bombardment as broader diplomatic engagements continue in Washington.
