Zelenskyy warns of potential large-scale Russian missile attack on Ukraine
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned of a potential large-scale Russian missile strike within two days as recent air attacks injured dozens in Zaporizhzhia and Kharkiv.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has warned that Russian forces may launch a large-scale missile strike within two days, citing intelligence reports from domestic services and international partners.
The warning follows widespread aerial bombardments across several Ukrainian regions. Air defense units reported intercepting one of three Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles launched toward the Kyiv region, alongside neutralizing 81 attack drones. Ukrainian Air Force spokesperson Yuriy Ihnat noted that Russian forces also launched two Onyx missiles targeting southern Ukraine, emphasizing that high-speed ballistic threats persist nationwide.
Recent strikes have inflicted significant casualties and civilian infrastructure damage. In Zaporizhzhia, an airstrike injured 30 people, including seven children. Meanwhile, a Russian drone struck near a residential high-rise in Kharkiv's Saltivskyi district, shattering windows and injuring one resident.
