Ukrainian strikes target Russian rocket plant as frontline combat escalates

Ukrainian long-range missile and drone strikes hit key defense and industrial facilities inside Russia, including Samara's Progress Rocket Space Centre and the adjacent Aviakor aircraft maintenance plant. Satellite imagery verified damage to both sites, which produce Soyuz space launchers and repair military aircraft. Related aerial attacks targeted infrastructure across the Nizhny Novgorod, Penza, and Rostov regions.

Simultaneously, heavy ground combat intensified across eastern Ukraine. Ukrainian officials reported more than 250 combat engagements over a 24-hour span, highlighted by intense Russian offensives near Lyman and Kostyantynivka. Russian troops expanded territory south of Dobropillia while attempting to sever Ukrainian positions along the Oskil River near Kupiansk.
