Ukrainian strikes damage Russian defense sites as ground battles intensify
Satellite imagery confirms strikes on key Russian defense plants in Samara as intense ground clashes continue along the eastern front.
Ukrainian long-range strikes targeted industrial and military facilities across several Russian regions, including Nizhny Novgorod, Penza, Rostov, and Samara. Satellite analysis confirmed damage to the Progress Rocket Space Centre and the nearby Aviakor aircraft plant in Samara, key facilities responsible for Soyuz launch vehicles and Tu-95 strategic bomber maintenance. Reports also indicated strikes near the Savasleyka military airfield.
Simultaneously, frontline combat reached high intensity, with Ukraine's General Staff recording 254 clashes over 24 hours. Russian forces launched intense assaults near Lyman and Kostyantynivka, expanded their control south of Dobropillia in the Pokrovsk sector, and advanced near Kupiansk toward splitting Ukrainian positions along the Oskil River. Russian forces also executed a missile strike targeting a major Ukrainian metallurgical enterprise.
