Ukrainian troops advance north of Kupiansk and near Lyman, while Russia reports gains near Sumy and denies Ukrainian progress in Zaporizhzhia.

Ukrainian forces have advanced along the right bank of the Oskil River north of Kupiansk, while officials prepare to confirm the control of up to 200 square kilometers near Lyman. Meanwhile, Russia’s Ministry of Defence reported taking control of several settlements on the approaches to Sumy in northern Ukraine.

In the south, Chief of the Russian General Staff Valery Gerasimov publicly refuted claims of Ukrainian progress in the Zaporizhzhia sector, maintaining that defensive positions remain intact. Elsewhere, overnight strikes targeted ammunition storage facilities in the Kyiv region as fighting continues across multiple frontline sectors.
