Ukrainian forces reportedly advanced north of Kupiansk, while Russian officials claimed gains near Sumy and denied Ukrainian progress in Zaporizhzhia.

Ukrainian forces have reportedly advanced along the right bank of the Oskil River north of Kupiansk, with Ukrainian military officials preparing to announce the re-establishment of control over up to 200 square kilometers near Lyman. Meanwhile, the Russian Ministry of Defence claimed its troops captured several settlements on the approaches to Sumy.

In the southern Zaporizhzhia sector, Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Valery Gerasimov publicly denied reports of Ukrainian tactical progress, asserting that Russian defensive positions remain secure.
