Ukrainian forces report advances near Kupiansk and Lyman, while Russian authorities claim tactical gains near Sumy and deny Ukrainian progress in Zaporizhzhia.

Heavy fighting continues along multiple sectors of the front line in Ukraine, with both sides reporting contrasting military developments. Ukrainian forces have advanced along the right bank of the Oskil River north of Kupiansk, while military officials prepare to announce the retrieval of approximately 200 square kilometers near Lyman.

Concurrently, the Russian Ministry of Defence reported the capture of several villages on the approaches to Sumy. In the Zaporizhzhia region, Russian General Staff Chief Valery Gerasimov publicly dismissed claims of Ukrainian tactical breakthroughs, maintaining that Russian defensive positions remain secure. Meanwhile, Russian strikes targeted ammunition storage facilities in the Kyiv region overnight amid ongoing nationwide aerial bombardments.
