Ukrainian forces report advances near Kupiansk and Lyman, while Russian officials claim progress near Sumy and deny Ukrainian gains in Zaporizhzhia.

Fighting continues across eastern and northern Ukraine, with both sides reporting contrasting developments along key front lines. Ukrainian troops have reportedly advanced along the right bank of the Oskil River north of Kupiansk, while military sources anticipate an official update regarding control over up to 200 square kilometers near Lyman.

In contrast, the Russian Ministry of Defence claimed its forces captured several settlements approaching Sumy. On the southern front in Zaporizhzhia, Russian Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov publicly rejected claims of Ukrainian tactical achievements, maintaining that Russian defensive positions remain secure. Overnight strikes also hit ammunition storage facilities in the Kyiv region.
