Ukrainian forces have made reported gains near Kupiansk and Lyman, while Russian authorities claim progress near Sumy and refute Zaporizhzhia sector advances.

Military developments persist across multiple sectors of the front line in Ukraine. Ukrainian troops have reportedly made gains along the right bank of the Oskil River north of Kupiansk, with official announcements anticipated regarding the liberation of up to 200 square kilometers near Lyman.

Concurrently, Russia’s Ministry of Defence claimed control over several settlements on the approaches to Sumy in northern Ukraine. In the south, Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov publicly denied reports of Ukrainian advancements in the Zaporizhzhia sector, asserting that Russian defensive positions remain intact. Meanwhile, overnight strikes hit ammunition storage depots in the Kyiv region as hostilities continue.
