Ukraine reports advances near Kupiansk and Lyman, while Russia claims progress near Sumy and denies Ukrainian gains in Zaporizhzhia.

Clashes continue across eastern and northern Ukraine, with both sides reporting divergent developments on the front line. Ukrainian forces have reportedly advanced along the right bank of the Oskil River north of Kupiansk, while military sources indicate an upcoming announcement regarding the control of up to 200 square kilometers near Lyman.

In contrast, the Russian Ministry of Defence claimed its troops seized several settlements on the approaches to Sumy. Meanwhile, in the Zaporizhzhia region, Russian Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov publicly refuted claims of Ukrainian tactical gains, asserting defensive positions remain secure. Overnight aerial strikes also hit ammunition storage facilities in the Kyiv region.
