Ukrainian forces report progress near Kupiansk and Lyman, while Russia claims tactical gains in Sumy and refutes Ukrainian advances in Zaporizhzhia.

Clashes continue across multiple sectors of the frontline in eastern and southern Ukraine. Ukrainian units have reported progress along the right bank of the Oskil River north of Kupiansk, while officials prepare to confirm the recapture of up to 200 square kilometers in the Lyman sector.

To the north, the Russian Ministry of Defence claimed its forces seized several settlements on the approaches to Sumy. In the southern Zaporizhzhia region, Russian General Staff Chief Valery Gerasimov denied reports of Ukrainian progress, maintaining that defensive positions remain intact. Overnight, strikes were also reported targeting ammunition depots in the Kyiv region.
