Ukraine targets Samara defense plants as intense frontline combat continues

Ukrainian long-range strikes targeted key industrial sites in Russia's Samara region, hitting facilities at the Progress Rocket Space Centre and the nearby Aviakor aircraft repair plant. Satellite imagery confirmed damage to assembly and repair workshops. Additional aerial attacks using drones and missiles were reported across the Nizhny Novgorod, Penza, and Rostov regions, with local authorities confirming widespread strikes.

Simultaneously, intense frontline ground engagements persisted, with Ukraine's General Staff recording over 250 combat clashes within 24 hours. Russian forces launched heavy offensives along the Lyman and Kostyantynivka sectors while advancing south of Dobropillia in the Pokrovsk direction and threatening to divide Ukrainian positions near the Oskil River.
