Ukraine targets Russian military infrastructure as POW legal issues surface
Ukrainian forces carried out strikes on Russian military positions and infrastructure, while reports indicate Russia is charging Ukrainian POWs with terrorism.
Ukraine's General Staff reported targeted strikes on Russian military and logistics infrastructure, including a Federal Security Service (FSB) deployment point in occupied Kherson Oblast, a road bridge in Kursk, and a railway bridge in Zaporizhzhia Oblast. Ukrainian Special Operations Forces also captured two Russian service members during a covert operation.
In Kherson, police released footage of a 52-year-old civilian vendor who survived a Russian drone attack.
Meanwhile, reports indicate that Russian authorities are charging Ukrainian soldiers captured during the Kursk offensive with terrorism rather than granting them standard prisoner-of-war protections.
