Ukraine reports major ground gains amid military leadership overhaul

Ukrainian forces have unveiled substantial territorial gains along the Oleksandrivka axis following months of operational silence, representing their most significant advances since late 2022. Concurrently, long-range Ukrainian strikes targeted Novorossiysk, allegedly hitting two Russian frigates armed with Kalibr cruise missiles.

Domestically, newly appointed military commander Mykhailo Drapatyj has begun dismantling entrenched command networks and restructuring armed forces leadership.
