Ukraine expands long-range strikes as Russia targets major cities

Ukraine has escalated its long-range drone campaign against Russian economic and energy infrastructure, while Russian strikes caused casualties in Kharkiv and Kyiv.
Ukraine has broadened its long-range drone campaign against Russian infrastructure, striking Wildberries logistics hubs, an export terminal in the Rostov region, and oil facilities in Yaroslavl and Udmurtia. Analysts estimate economic losses at up to $1.3 billion. Russian officials reported five civilian deaths in Rostov following the bombardments.
Concurrently, Russian air raids hit Ukrainian urban centres. Authorities in Kharkiv reported one death and nine injuries, while three people were wounded in Kyiv.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the drone offensive aims to force Moscow into diplomatic negotiations. Kyiv also warned that Russia plans to deploy 30,000 North Korean troops to the Voronezh region, supported by new ballistic missile launch systems from Pyongyang.
