Swedish police detain multiple minors over shootings and bomb plots
Swedish authorities have detained several minors following a shooting in Södertälje and separate bombing incidents across the country.
Swedish authorities have detained several minors in connection with a series of violent incidents across the country.
In Södertälje, emergency services responded to a shooting near a school in the Ronna district on Monday evening. A minor was hospitalised with gunshot wounds, and police subsequently arrested three individuals, including two children under the age of 15 suspected of attempted murder and complicity.
Separately, police arrested a young boy who had reportedly been recruited by organised criminal networks to execute a bombing in Stockholm. Law enforcement intervened after receiving an alert from a school located in another region. Additionally, two teenagers are suspected in connection with an explosion in Bunkeflostrand that reportedly targeted an online content creator.
