Russian strikes hit Kyiv following warnings from Volodymyr Zelensky, while the ICC voted to remove Chief Prosecutor Karim Khan and an oil tanker exploded in the Strait of Hormuz.

Russian forces launched early-morning air strikes against Kyiv, sparking fires across three municipal districts, including Desnyansky and Shevchenkivsky. According to Ukraine's State Emergency Service, the attack destroyed a warehouse, damaged eleven vehicles, and burned an abandoned four-story building. The assault followed warnings from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that intelligence indicated Moscow was preparing a major missile barrage.

Meanwhile, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that freezing the Ukrainian conflict remains impossible due to Kyiv's stance, reiterating Moscow's previous demands.

In international news, member states of the International Criminal Court voted by a large majority to remove Chief Prosecutor Karim Khan from his position following personal misconduct allegations. Separately, Iranian media reported that an oil tanker exploded in the Strait of Hormuz after striking a sea mine while operating with its radar system turned off.
