Russian forces launched a widespread missile attack across Ukraine, while Ukrainian long-range strikes targeted energy infrastructure inside Russia.

Russian forces launched a widespread barrage of cruise and ballistic missiles across Ukraine, triggering air defense systems in Kyiv, Dnipro, Vinnytsia, and Lviv. The aerial attack followed warnings from President Volodymyr Zelenskyy regarding an impending assault based on military intelligence.

Concurrently, heavy ground combat persisted along the front line. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported 191 combat engagements over 24 hours, with intense fighting centered near Pokrovsk and Kostiantynivka.

Simultaneously, Ukrainian long-range strikes targeted Russian energy infrastructure far behind the front lines. Attacks hit an export terminal in the Rostov region—roughly 250 kilometers from the border—as well as oil facilities in Yaroslavl and the Udmurt Republic.
