The Royal Navy monitored Russian warships in UK waters while Ukrainian troops face critical air defence shortages amid intensified missile attacks.

The British Royal Navy has completed a three-day surveillance operation tracking two Russian naval warships and sanctioned cargo vessels moving through United Kingdom waters. The operation deployed warships HMS Duncan, HMS St Albans, and HMS Severn, which utilised advanced radar and sensor arrays to monitor the foreign vessels.

Simultaneously, Ukrainian forces continue struggling to hold back Russian advances while attempting to limit casualties amid persistent manpower shortages. Both conflict parties have escalated their deployment of long-range attack drones and cruise missiles. However, Ukrainian frontline positions remain highly vulnerable to Russian strikes due to an acute shortage of air defence interceptor missiles. Meanwhile, reports emerged that a Russian figure was dismissed after issuing warnings regarding a potential internal social crisis.
