Robotics firm 1X demonstrates dexterous hands amid debates on automation

Robotics company 1X has unveiled a pair of highly dexterous robotic hands designed to perform complex physical tasks such as preparing food. The demonstration highlighted ongoing developments in practical physical automation, contrasting broader theoretical discussions regarding artificial intelligence.

The reveal follows warnings from prominent economists about potential job displacement caused by rapid advancements in automated technologies. While some observers viewed the new robotic capabilities as a significant step forward in functional hardware, the tech community remains divided over the speed, practical utility, and broader implications of bringing advanced AI into physical everyday environments.
