Russian air strikes hit three Kyiv districts following warnings of an attack, while the Kremlin ruled out freezing the war and ICC member states removed Chief Prosecutor Karim Khan.

Russian forces launched air strikes targeting three districts in Kyiv, triggering fires at a commercial warehouse, parking site, and an abandoned building. The attacks occurred shortly after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky warned that intelligence signaled an impending Russian missile offensive.

Simultaneously, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov dismissed freezing the conflict in Ukraine, attributing the stalemate to Kyiv's stance and reaffirming Moscow's standing demands. Russian President Vladimir Putin also asserted that Western nations dismantled the post-World War II global framework through NATO expansion and interventions in Yugoslavia, claiming Ukraine will eventually lose its western lands.

In an unrelated diplomatic action, member states of the International Criminal Court voted to dismiss Chief Prosecutor Karim Khan following misconduct allegations.
