Russia and Ukraine exchanged overnight aerial attacks targeting Kyiv and Russian refineries, while NATO conducted operations near Kaliningrad.

Cross-border strikes between Russia and Ukraine have escalated alongside reported NATO maneuvers near Kaliningrad. Russian forces launched overnight ballistic missiles at Kyiv, killing at least two people and injuring six others. The attack follows previous drone strikes on a British American Tobacco facility in northern Ukraine.

In response, Ukrainian long-range drones targeted industrial infrastructure across Russia's Saratov and Samara regions. Samara Governor Vyacheslav Fedorishev confirmed air defenses intercepted "dozens of unmanned aerial vehicles" aimed at local industrial enterprises, while reports indicated a fire broke out at the Kuibyshev oil refinery.

Meanwhile, US-led NATO operations took place near Russia's Kaliningrad exclave, deploying American and Norwegian fighter jets, reconnaissance aircraft, and Polish ground forces. NATO representatives stated the alliance remains defensive and operates to consistently refine its operational readiness.
