Italian prosecutors have opened a vehicular manslaughter investigation following a crash in central Italy that killed six people and injured up to 34.

Italian prosecutors in Terni have launched a multiple vehicular manslaughter investigation following a collision on State Road 79 near Colli sul Velino that killed six people. Investigators ordered autopsies on both drivers and are evaluating data from the shuttle bus's black box alongside dashcam footage to determine why the motorhome veered into oncoming traffic.

Local authorities identified two of the deceased as Giampiero Colasanti, 68, and Daniela Bellanca, 59, who were returning from a motorcycling event. The crash, which involved a tourist bus heading toward Marmore Falls and three passenger cars, left between 27 and 34 people injured. Forensic teams continue examining whether the motorhome driver suffered a sudden medical episode, fell asleep, or executed an illegal pass.
