Russian strikes on Kyiv left 17 dead and over 40 injured, while heavy fighting continues near Pokrovsk and North Korean missile units deploy to Russia's Voronezh region.

Rescue operations continued following overnight Russian missile and drone strikes on Kyiv and surrounding areas, with authorities updating the death toll to at least 17 people and reporting over 40 injured. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed the extent of the destruction across several districts.

On the front lines, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported 233 combat engagements within 24 hours. Russian forces deployed over 10,000 kamikaze drones and hundreds of guided aerial bombs, concentrating heavy assault operations near Pokrovsk and Kupiansk.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian intelligence reports indicated that a North Korean ballistic missile unit, equipped with up to six mobile launchers and 120 missiles, has begun deploying in Russia's Voronezh region. Concurrently, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced planned command reshuffles within the Russian military and Ministry of Defence.
