Bosnian police summon 26 Srebrenica Memorial Center associates for questioning

Police in Republika Srpska have summoned 26 associates of the Srebrenica Memorial Center for questioning following the release of an annual report on genocide denial.
Police in Republika Srpska have summoned 26 current and former associates of the Srebrenica Memorial Center for questioning, according to the center's director, Emir Suljagić. The summonses, issued on behalf of the Bijeljina Prosecutor's Office, seek to gather information regarding their previous and current engagement with the institution.
The move came one day after the memorial center released its annual report on genocide denial. Authorities cited a prosecutorial decision from the previous year as the legal basis for the inquiries.
The action drew swift political criticism. Ćamil Duraković, Vice President of Republika Srpska, condemned the summonses, characterizing the police questioning as harassment of Bosniaks and warning regional authorities against targeting individuals connected to the memorial center.
