Zinédine Zidane has been named the new head coach of the French national football team, signing a four-year contract to lead Les Bleus. The 54-year-old former World Cup winner succeeds Didier Deschamps, taking over the role following a long-anticipated managerial transition.
Deschamps leaves behind an ultra-competitive squad after a long tenure defined by major tournament success alongside occasional criticism regarding the team's cautious style of play.
