Valencian PP maintains national line on funding while Socialists renew local slates

Valencian President Pérez Llorca rejects separate regional financing deals, while the local Socialist Party updates its municipal candidate slates in key cities.
The Valencian regional government has confirmed it will maintain its alignment with the national People's Party (PP) regarding regional financing negotiations. Valencian President Pérez Llorca rejected alternative negotiation routes with Spain's central government, opting not to separate from other PP-led autonomous communities despite potential financial advantages for the region.
Concurrently, the Socialist Party of the Valencian Country (PSPV) is preparing its strategy for upcoming municipal elections. The party is introducing new candidates across the region's three provincial capitals to challenge incumbent PP mayors, including officializing Trini Amorós as candidate in Alicante to avoid internal divisions.
