US President Donald Trump has called on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin to negotiate an end to the war before winter.

Following a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and a phone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, US President Donald Trump stated his belief that both leaders should negotiate a peace deal to end the war before winter.

Speaking to reporters, Trump expressed confidence regarding Moscow's willingness to negotiate, remarking, "He wants a deal and, if Zelensky wants a deal, it would be great." Trump emphasized that both sides need to reach a mutual compromise to halt the conflict.

Zelensky described his discussions with Trump as positive and productive, stating on social media that Washington and Kyiv share the objective of stopping the war in the coming months. Ukrainian officials reaffirmed that any final peace agreement must preserve the nation's sovereignty.
