US President Donald Trump has urged Ukraine and Russia to negotiate a settlement before winter following talks with Volodymyr Zelensky.

US President Donald Trump has pressed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin to negotiate an end to the conflict before winter sets in. Following a high-level meeting in Washington, Zelensky described the talks as "positive and productive," stating that both Washington and Kyiv share the goal of halting Russian hostilities swiftly.

Meanwhile, Trump disclosed details of a recent telephone call with Putin, expressing confidence that the Russian leader seeks a resolution. Speaking on the discussions, Trump remarked, "He wants a deal and, if Zelensky wants a deal, it would be great." While the American administration emphasizes accelerating diplomatic efforts, Ukrainian officials maintain that any final agreement must preserve the nation's sovereignty.
