Following high-level talks in Washington, US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky both expressed a desire to end the conflict with Russia before winter. Meanwhile, Trump stated following a phone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin that Moscow is open to negotiations.
