US prosecutors have charged five alleged Russian agents over assassination plots targeting Ukraine allies in Europe and the US, while Denmark reports sabotage against defense firms.

United States federal prosecutors have charged five alleged Russian intelligence operatives with orchestrating a campaign of targeted killings and sabotage across Europe and the United States.

According to an indictment unsealed in Manhattan federal court, the suspects remain at large after allegedly recruiting a global network to surveil and attack individuals supporting Ukraine. The operations included a June 2024 attack in Prague, with prosecutors alleging the network paid or attempted to pay operatives worldwide to execute attacks on targets aligned with Kyiv.

Concurrently, Denmark's Security and Intelligence Service reported at a Copenhagen conference that Russian actors carried out physical sabotage against Danish defense companies supplying military equipment to Ukraine, characterizing the actions as a significant escalation in hybrid warfare.
