US prosecutors charged five alleged Russian intelligence operatives over plots targeting Ukraine supporters, as Danish authorities reported domestic defense sabotage.

US federal prosecutors have unsealed an indictment charging five alleged Russian intelligence operatives with orchestrating a global campaign of assassinations and sabotage against supporters of Ukraine. According to the Department of Justice, the network financed individuals internationally to conduct surveillance and execute targeted attacks in the United States and Europe, including a June 2024 incident in Prague. All five suspects currently remain at large.

Concurrently, Denmark's Security and Intelligence Service reported at a Copenhagen security conference that Russian agents carried out targeted sabotage against Danish defense contractors supplying military equipment to Kyiv. Danish officials described the operations as a significant escalation in Moscow's hybrid warfare strategy against Western allies.
