US prosecutors charged five alleged Russian agents with plotting attacks on Ukraine allies, while Denmark reported domestic defense sabotage.

The United States Department of Justice has unsealed charges in a Manhattan federal court against five alleged Russian intelligence operatives accused of orchestrating an international assassination and sabotage campaign.

According to prosecutors, the network paid or attempted to pay individuals across North America and Europe to surveil and execute targeted attacks against individuals aligned with Ukraine, including an incident in Prague in June 2024. All five suspects remain at large.

Concurrently, Denmark's Security and Intelligence Service reported at a Copenhagen security conference that Russian operatives conducted targeted sabotage against Danish defense contractors supplying military hardware to Kyiv. Officials characterized the actions as a significant escalation in Moscow's hybrid operations across Europe.
