U.S. Army demonstrates networked drone strike sequence at California exercise

The U.S. Army successfully tested a coordinated drone strike sequence during Project Convergence-Capstone 6 in California.
The U.S. Army has demonstrated an autonomous networked strike sequence during its Project Convergence-Capstone 6 exercise at Fort Irwin, California.
According to military reports, the high-desert test showcased a coordinated family of uncrewed aerial systems. During the operation, two reconnaissance drones were deployed to locate and identify a target threat. Following target verification, a third weaponized drone was dispatched to complete the strike sequence.
The demonstration highlights ongoing military efforts to integrate air-launched effects and networked drone technologies into aviation warfare. The exercise was conducted under the oversight of the Army's Aviation Future Capabilities Directorate.
