Ukrainian service members and commentators have highlighted critical logistical, administrative, and structural challenges within the country's armed forces.

Ukrainian service members and commentators have raised concerns over systemic administrative, operational, and structural shortcomings within the country's armed forces.

Frontline surgeon Bohdan Zhuravel warned that long deployments without rotation leave troops feeling like "serfs", cautioning of serious consequences if unaddressed. Logistical accountability remains a key concern, with drone unit commander Yuriy Butusov stating officers must personally secure daily provisions for their units.

Disparities also extend to internal recognition and mobilization practices. An investigation into military awards indicated medals are frequently retained by brigade headquarters rather than reaching combat personnel. To enhance equity, service member Pavlo Kazarin advocated for targeted adjustments to deferment policies and medical examination boards.
