Ukrainian personnel highlight administrative and logistical hurdles in armed forces

Ukrainian service members and commentators continue to highlight critical administrative, operational, and structural shortcomings in the armed forces. Frontline surgeon Bohdan Zhuravel cautioned that long deployments without rotation make soldiers feel like "serfs", warning of serious consequences if the situation persists.

In logistics, drone unit commander Yuriy Butusov criticized the lack of organizational accountability, noting that officers must personally secure daily provisions. Regarding internal recognition, an investigation into military awards indicated that medals are frequently retained by brigade headquarters rather than reaching combat troops. To foster equity, service member Pavlo Kazarin proposed targeted adjustments to deferment policies and medical examination boards.
