Ukrainian service members and commentators have raised concerns over long deployments, supply chain responsibility, awards distribution, and mobilization equity.

Ukrainian service members and commentators have highlighted various structural, logistical, and administrative challenges within the nation's military. Frontline surgeon Bohdan Zhuravel warned that long deployments without rotations leave soldiers feeling like "serfs" for civilians, cautioning against unaddressed discontent. Drone company commander Yuriy Butusov reported that unit leaders are left without institutional support, forcing officers to manage daily logistical supply chains independently.

Additionally, internal administrative procedures face scrutiny. An investigation published by Ukrainska Pravda revealed that military decorations are disproportionately distributed to brigade headquarters rather than lower-level frontline personnel. Meanwhile, service member Pavlo Kazarin advocated for reforms to deferment policies and military medical commissions to make mobilization procedures more equitable.
