Ukrainian military personnel and commentators have detailed administrative, operational, and logistical challenges facing frontline forces.

Ukrainian service members and commentators have voiced growing concerns regarding administrative, operational, and structural shortcomings within the country's armed forces.

Frontline surgeon Bohdan Zhuravel warned that prolonged deployments without rotations leave troops feeling like "serfs", cautioning that unaddressed issues could yield severe consequences. Logistical supply chains also face criticism, with drone unit commander Yuriy Butusov stating that officers must personally handle daily provisioning due to a lack of institutional accountability on the front lines.

Additionally, concerns persist over internal recognition and mobilization procedures. An investigation into military awards indicated that decorations are frequently concentrated at brigade headquarters rather than reaching frontline soldiers. To address equity concerns, service member Pavlo Kazarin advocated for targeted reforms to deferment policies and medical examination boards.
