Ukrainian forces report progress near Kupiansk and Lyman, while Russia claims territorial gains near Sumy and targets facilities in Kyiv.

Frontline hostilities persist across eastern and southern Ukraine with conflicting claims from both militaries. Ukrainian troops are advancing along the right bank of the Oskil River north of Kupiansk, while official confirmation is expected regarding control over nearly 200 square kilometres in the Lyman sector.

Conversely, the Russian Ministry of Defence reported capturing several villages approaching Sumy. In the southern Zaporizhzhia sector, Russia's Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov denied claims of Ukrainian advances, insisting defensive positions remain stable. Additionally, Russian forces carried out strikes against ammunition facilities and military targets in the Kyiv region.
