Heavy fighting continues across Ukraine as Kyiv reports advances near Kupiansk and Lyman, while Moscow claims gains near Sumy.

Active military engagements persist across eastern and southern Ukraine as both sides claim distinct tactical developments. Ukrainian forces continue to make headway north of Kupiansk along the right bank of the Oskil River, while preparing to confirm control over roughly 200 square kilometers in the Lyman area. In contrast, the Russian Ministry of Defence claims its troops have captured several frontline settlements near Sumy. Meanwhile, Russian strikes targeted Ukrainian military sites and ammunition facilities within the Kyiv region. Addressing the southern theatre, Russia's Chief of the General Staff, Valery Gerasimov, dismissed assertions of Ukrainian territorial advances in the Zaporizhzhia sector, asserting that Russian defensive lines remain intact.
