Ukrainian forces are advancing near Kupiansk and Lyman, while Russian troops report captures near Sumy and strikes on Kyiv-region ammunition depots.

Ukrainian troops are reportedly making gains along the right bank of the Oskil River north of Kupiansk, with Ukrainian officials preparing to confirm control over roughly 200 square kilometers near Lyman.

Meanwhile, Russia's Ministry of Defence reported that its forces have secured several villages on the approaches to Sumy. Russian strikes also targeted military infrastructure, damaging ammunition depots in the Kyiv region. On the Zaporizhzhia front, Russian Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov personally refuted claims of Ukrainian operational achievements, maintaining that Russian defensive positions remain stable despite ongoing clashes across eastern and northern Ukraine.
