Two Ukrainian drones sank a Rosatom civilian cargo ship carrying non-military supplies in the Black Sea, Rosatom's chief stated.

Two Ukrainian drones struck and sank a civilian cargo ship belonging to Russia's state nuclear corporation Rosatom in the Black Sea, Rosatom head Alexei Likhachev said.

All 17 crew members survived the attack on the vessel, which was transporting commercial goods including construction materials and frozen food. Likhachev condemned the strike, asserting that "such an attack can only be described as piracy and maritime robbery."

Ukrainian authorities have not immediately issued an official statement regarding the strike. The incident occurs against the backdrop of increased hostilities and drone engagements in the Black Sea region in recent weeks.
