Ukraine strikes military facility in Russia's Kirov region, leaving six dead

Ukrainian forces struck a major military enterprise in the Kirov region of Russia, according to statements from both Ukrainian and Russian officials. Regional Governor Alexander Sokolov reported on Telegram that the attack left six people dead and 26 injured.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed the operation, identifying the site as a key defense facility and noting it was distinct from separate strikes targeting warehouses near St. Petersburg. The overnight hostilities also extended into Ukraine, where Russian air strikes triggered explosions in Kyiv and killed five individuals in a front-line city.
