Ukraine reports a steep decline in air defense missile deliveries while advancing EU accession talks and receiving €1.4 billion from frozen Russian assets.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that international partners have delivered only one-third of the air defense interceptor missiles provided during the previous year, as Russian air strikes on Kyiv and southern ports intensify. Zelensky discussed securing additional interceptors, particularly Patriot systems, during talks with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.

Despite defense constraints, Ukraine reported progress toward European Union integration, confirming that all required conditions have been met to open four additional negotiation chapter clusters. Concurrently, the EU transferred a fifth installment of €1.4 billion generated from frozen Russian central bank assets, intended for Ukrainian defense procurement and economic support.
