A 14-year-old student opened fire at a school near Bangkok following an attack at home, with conflicting reports on casualties and the gunman's status.

A 14-year-old student launched a deadly shooting spree at a secondary school in Nonthaburi province, on the outskirts of Bangkok, after allegedly killing his grandparents at home.

Authorities said the teenager used his grandfather's firearm to execute the attack. Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul stated the suspect was "under stress" regarding his schooling and appeared to have planned the assault.

Reporting across outlets differed significantly as details emerged. Casualty figures ranged between two and seven fatalities, with victims including teachers, students, and relatives, alongside dozens injured. Reports also conflicted regarding the gunman's status, with several outlets stating he died by suicide while another indicated he remained in critical condition.
