Ukrainian drone strikes hit Russian refineries while Moscow blacklists Norwegian aid groups and raises concerns over future tests of NATO cohesion.

Ukrainian drone strikes on Russian energy infrastructure have ignited major fires at facilities including a refinery in Salavat, causing extended operational halts. In response to the growing visibility of domestic damage, Russian authorities are penalising citizens who publish footage of affected sites on social media.

Simultaneously, Kyiv is fortifying its power grid against anticipated seasonal bombardments as winter approaches. Beyond the active combat zone, Moscow is expanding its pressure campaign across Europe. The Kremlin recently placed Norwegian humanitarian and democracy groups on its list of "undesirable organisations," while allied intelligence assessments caution that Russia may seek to test NATO solidarity through cyber warfare or limited incursions on the alliance's eastern flank in the coming years.
