Kyiv comes under fresh drone strikes as Moscow targets Ukraine's energy grid, while the EU issues warnings over explosive drone incidents in Germany.

Russian forces carried out a fresh wave of drone attacks against Kyiv, injuring at least one person following Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's address at the United Nations General Assembly. Concurrently, the Russian Defense Ministry announced a new military campaign specifically aimed at destroying Ukraine's energy infrastructure. In response, Ukraine escalated aerial strikes on Russian oil refineries, disrupting fuel supplies and forcing Moscow to import petroleum products.

Meanwhile, European security concerns mounted after German authorities identified two Moscow-linked suspects in connection with explosive drone incidents near Leipzig. Reacting to the threat, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen warned, "We will not tolerate attacks on EU soil, ready to respond."
