Russian drone strikes hit Kyiv following Zelensky's UN speech, while EU officials warn Moscow over suspected hybrid operations in Germany.

Russian forces launched renewed drone attacks against Kyiv overnight, injuring a civilian following Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's address at the United Nations General Assembly. Russian defense officials confirmed a targeted military campaign against Ukraine's energy grid ahead of winter. In response, Ukrainian forces intensified drone strikes on oil refineries and fuel facilities inside Russian territory.

Concurrently, European authorities are investigating suspected Russian hybrid operations within member states. Following the discovery of explosive drones in Leipzig, German investigators identified two suspects connected to Moscow. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen condemned the incidents, stating, "We do not tolerate attacks on EU soil," while asserting Brussels' readiness to respond.
