Moscow intensifies energy grid strikes on Ukraine as the EU warns against Russian sabotage following drone discoveries in Germany.

Russian forces executed overnight drone attacks against Kyiv, injuring a civilian following Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's address at the United Nations General Assembly. Russian defense officials formally declared a renewed offensive targeting Ukraine's energy grid ahead of winter. In response, Ukrainian forces have maintained targeted strikes on petroleum facilities within Russian territory.

Simultaneously, European authorities are addressing suspected Russian hybrid operations inside member states. Following the discovery of explosive drones in Leipzig, German investigators identified two suspects linked to Moscow. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen issued a firm warning, declaring, "We do not tolerate attacks on EU soil," while asserting Brussels' readiness to react.
